Good item for when you don't drive often. April 15, 2010

Driving my truck once a week does not help maintain the proper battery charge. I looked at solar trickle chargers but they are too expensive. This item is inexpensive and easy to install. The only thing I did different is install it onto the negative side instead of the positive that was instructed to.
Remember that this will turn off all electronics especially the alarm. A bit of an inconvenience but worth it. I'm tired of bringing in my battery to be charged.

I've bought several of these shut-offs for a project I'm working on. To be fair, I haven't installed it yet as I haven't gotten around to finishing the project. I bought several shut-off switches from Amazon and by far this appears to be the best one in terms of "fit and finish". It has the most current handling capabilites of the 3 that I purchased. Secondly, it has a red handle to make spotting it easier so long as security isn't issue here. Also it came with a personalized hand-written note that had tips on how to install the switch for the best performance. You can't beat that. I was impressed to say the least.
